So here we are - the 2007/2008 Fuse FM Committee! (If that's not the right academic year then someone has obviously been very lazy and not updated, naughty naughty.)
Not a scroller? We know how you feel so just click the title and we will reveal all about them!
Station Manager - Head of Music - Head of Programming - Events Manager - Head of Marketing - Studio Manager - Assistant Studio Manager - Head of News - Head of Speech

Sarah has been a member of Fuse FM since 2005 when she was just a mere snap of a girl. Since then she has presented *Giddy Stratospheres*, a show which involves great music (badly presented) and hilarious japes that 'the Vale' has been up to, like when she dropped a pint in her knickers (gigantic and navy) and when she presented her beloved Rufus (of Wainwright fame) with a banana (left slanted and yellow). In 2007, Sarah became Station Manager of the good ship Fuse, which generally involves faffing about the union looking for drawing pins much to the hilarity of the Head of Marketing (see below). |

Harry's Fuse career can be summed up by a graph that goes up really quickly like this one: Broadcast 16 is Harry's fifth hosting *wiLFuLlY tWisTEd* - a show he describes as "a combination of japery, jamboree and pot-pourri." His current job is the hardest yet with his duties consisting of opening jiffy bags and shouting at webmail. |

After arriving at Fuse as a wide-eyed radio virgin, Becca was given a swift baptism of fire (pints) and decided to never leave. Ever. Fast forward a mere year, and she's the lucky bugger who gets to read alllll the show proposals and construct the schedule that makes Fuse so darn tasty. Becca now co-presents 2 shows (one a lovely midday smorgasbord of nice songs and banter, the other a dirty, dirty, dirty electro show...yeah, she likes to mix it up). Oh, Becca also won a bronze award for Best Female Presenter at the Student Radio Awards...but she's not one to boast... |

Bored? Too much work? Take a break and head out with Fuse because the lovely Emma is the lady organising all our incredible social events. She gets involved with everything basically and has the sole aim of trying to make Fuse as warm and fuzzy as poss. That means her main repsonsibility is organising drinking....in which case she tends to not remember much of the nights she so lovingly planned. Professionalism is clearly key here at Fuse you see! Some may remember Ozzy Osbournes guest appearance at our launch....of course it was the real him and not the Events Manager in costume! |

Cath got involved in Fuse after listening and occasionally (by this we mean very rarely) helping Harry Garne (remember him? The music guy?!) on his shows in 2006 and 2007. Having spent a year away from Manchester, Ms. Brassington decided she wanted to get involved more and used her very vague business/advertising/marketing/artistic talents to take on marketing Fuse FM. Cath's show for broadcast 15 was 'CB Radio' and she lists the best thing she has gotten from Fuse as interviewing The Maccabees LIVE on her show...WHOOP!! |

Corin looks after the technical side of the studio - keeping Fuse FM on air and streaming online. Big up to him for basically ensuring you can actually listen! Corin started work as a mere techie in 2006, moving on to Studio Manager in 2007 - one small step... If you're looking to learn more about how the studio all works, join the crew, do something spectacular for your show, give him a shout. |

"Basically being a keen bean" is how Edith describes her time at Fuse. She got involved with the Music Team in her first year and found that, alongside having a show, far too much fun so decided never to let go - except for when she graduate's and she'll have no choice in the matter and be forced to leave (can we get an "aww"). Highlights for Edith include welcoming herself into Howling Bells' dressing room while they were sleeping and getting them to come for an interview on air (not knowing much about their music so talking a lot about vandalism instead) AND interviewing AFI - "quite frankly terrifying". |
| Head of News |
|
Ems started off by being in the Music Team, just like Edith - going to gigs and writing reviews etc etc... A standout moment was (badly) interviewing Milburn who were supporting the Arctic Monkeys! She got to hang out in their dressing room and kiss Alex Turner! Yes people, you heard correctly - look what Fuse can do for you!!! Last year, Ems decided she wanted to read the news, get experience and be involved!! This all meant that last broadcast, Fuse welcomed a new show called 'Fuse News' which Ems is in charge of (writing and reading the news) with a fab team of presenters that help/save her every week. |

Well, Georgie joined Team Fuse a year and a half ago as a highly unskilled presenter - hey, she said it not us! After deciding that she loved Fuse an awful lot (well, duh), she offered her wonderful services to the committee. As this year's Head of Speech, the main thing Georgie has done is to set up a radio drama playwriting competition called “Playtime”, in conjunction with the BBC - oh aye, get her! But don't give her too much credit...aside from that, she's been fairly useless (shall we do another "aww" or is it all getting a bit much?). |
